Boarding

The New Beacon has a long tradition of boarding and we continue to provide a small boarding facility – only 14 beds, Monday to Thursday – which is very much in demand.

The boys are looked after by a team of resident boarding staff and matrons.

The emphasis is on enjoying the boarding experience, developing independence and personal responsibility, with support given for prep (homework) and music practice where appropriate.

Burns' Night:
On Monday 25th January the Boarders celebrated Burns' Night with haggis, tatties, neaps, the Burns' Poem and the haggis being stabbed by Mr Henson! There was a fancy dress competition, won by Matt and an Scottish Odd Ode competition, won by Robert. Everyone had a good time!
