EnglishYears 5 to 8 Whilst you are snug at home owing to the arctic conditions, here is some work for you to be getting on with as a warm up before your return: Scholars: Reread “Under the Knife” by H.G Wells. Using SDLF as a response-framework, write a critical analysis of the prose style. (approx 1 and a half sides of an A4.) C.E: In the light of the poetry declamations day at the end of term, begin searching for 2 poems that you would like to learn by heart. You may use the internet or any poetry books you have at home. Take time to make a meaningful selection. Your poem should be no less than ten lines long; you may wish to use any of the poems we have studied during lessons. Be prepared to read your selection during lessons next week. 7A,B and C: Begin searching for 2 poems that you would like to learn by heart for this term. You may use the internet or glean any poetry books you may have at home. You may well remember that last year you had to do a similar thing. Be prepared! The poem should be no less than 10 lines in length. Yr 5 and 6: Revise all spelling lists and punctuation covered last term.
