Geography

Year 8

All Year 8 boys should have plenty to do as you are in possession of your handy Geography Resources CD.  If at a loose end, add to your library of revision cards / mind maps, using the notes / PowerPoints / film clips / animations / suggested web pages contained thereon.

8A: As a contemporary extra, investigate the causes of the current weather pattern over the BI and what caused the initial snowfalls and the continuing cold snap. You should gather some quotable evidence (The Met Office and a good newspaper site or the BBC News pages) should provide you with all you need. Prepare your information in a manner which could be presented to your peers in the theatre.

8A1/8IBD/8JYB: Make sure your prescribed holiday work has been completed (the OS map section of the booklet and the activity related to Bluewater).
Expand your revision material as mentioned above.
There are some past papers on your CD-Rom (under Miscellaneous) which you could look at.
Undertake some research into the structure and development of Sevenoaks as an introduction to your forthcoming fieldwork investigations.
