THE NEW BEACON, SEVENOAKS
Most boys join The New Beacon between age 4 and 5, in one of two Reception classes.
Parents are advised to reserve a definite place, subject to availability, as soon as possible. On receipt of a completed Entrance Form, and a small registration fee, a definite place will be reserved for your son, without prejudice on your part. In the year before entry, final confirmation will be sought, including a deposit of £250, which will be returned, less any disbursements owing, after his final term at the School.
Vacancies are offered to boys after Reception age as they arise. Boys who wish to join after the early years will be asked to show evidence of academic progress.
Visits for the parents of prospective pupils are made by appointment with the Registrar in term time. You will be shown around the School by a senior member of staff or the Registrar and meet with the Headmaster. You will see the boys at work, and examples of their work, and have the opportunity to ask questions. In order to benefit fully from your visit, you may prefer not to bring very young children, although, of course, you are welcome to do so.
An acquaint visit takes place in June of the year of entry for those boys joining one of our two Reception classes. You will be able to revisit the School, together with your son, meet other parents, his new teacher and other boys who will also be joining The New Beacon.
