Art is taught as a separate subject from 4 to 13 and there is an impressive, purpose built art facility used by Middle and Senior School boys.


Company art competitions and art exhibitions promote this important subject adding to the breadth on offer at The New Beacon.








Performance skills are developed through class assemblies, reading in Chapel and bigger drama productions, notably in Years 4, 6 and 8.




There is an annual poetry competition in which all boys learn and perform a poem with a number chosen from each class for a ‘grand final’.
