Sport

The main team sports are football (Autumn Term), Rugby (Spring Term) and Cricket (Summer Term). We also have a strong reputation for swimming, cross-country, tennis and athletics. An impressive collection of silverware is on display in the Entrance Hall of the school, demonstrating considerable success at all ages and levels!

Competitive fixtures against other schools begin in Year 4 (Under 9) and grow in number as boys rise through the school. At each age group, boys try hard to make the ‘top team’ – endeavour is valued as much as raw talent. Fixtures are normally played on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons when we may put out over ten teams. While we value excellence we also have an inclusive approach and aim towards each boy having the opportunity to represent his school twice a term.
