Stop Press – we are opening a nursery in September 2019 which will be accepting boys and girls in the term after they turn three years of age.

An inevitable question will be: is this co-education through the back door?  The answer is emphatically, ‘No’!  The Granville runs a very successful Nursery for girls and boys with only girls proceeding to Reception.  We will have boys and girls in our Nursery with only boys proceeding to Reception: we wish to sustain our reputation as one of the leading boys’ Prep Schools in the country.  Our market research suggests this is a model which would work well, meeting the needs of local families.
Where?  In the Pre-Prep building.  The two Year 1 classrooms will be combined, creating a large open, carefully designed space with a secure play area outside covered by a canopy.
When?  Term-time only with hours approximately following the school day – half or full days.  Our Wraparound Care will mean the day can be extended with prior booking.
How many?  Capacity 35 children.
Uniform?  Some minor uniform requirements (eg the Reception tracksuit).
Lunch?  Healthy and fresh, will be brought to the Nursery, provided by our catering team.  To and from the dining-room would take too much time!
How much?  The facility will be competitively priced.
