Reception boys have been learning about all the different animals that live in the Arctic and Antarctic. They have made igloos, painted penguins, and explored ice. The boys watched what happens when ice is left out of the freezer, and also what it feels like to be in icy water. We also did an experiment. The boys found out that penguins have a layer of fat, and a covering of oil to keep themselves warm. Thank you to Marta who came in to talk to the boys about the penguins that live in Argentina.
