This week 12 Year 6 boys, accompanied by Mr Swan and Mrs Brewer, went to a Science Competition at Lancing College.  The team were split so everyone had to work on biology, chemistry and physics challenges with 3 people they didn’t know, including girls! Monty had to draw what a buttercup looked like under a microscope. Jimi was the leader of his team and Alex was the scribe of his team. After the competition we had a talk from Dr Jonathan Hare who used to be on the BBC’s Rough Science programme. Our boys did really well, especially as it was the first time that we had entered this competition with 3 boys in the winning teams for biology, chemistry and physics.  The winners all received a £10 book token. Overall we came 3rd out of 12 schools – well done boys.
