On Saturday 11 May a team of U11 swimmers (Hector, Robert, Tiger & Alex) competed in the South East regional relay finals at The Spectrum Leisure Centre in Guildford, having qualified for this event at the Kent Schools’ Swimming Championship in March.

The boys swam in the 4 x 25 freestyle and medley relays competing against 15 other schools in each race from Kent, Surrey, Sussex & Oxfordshire. The team commenced the evening with a great heat swim in the freestyle relay making it through to the final  where they secured a 6th place in a time of 1.04.25. With very little time to recover after the freestyle relay final, the boys competed in the medley relay (Tiger: backstroke; Hector: breaststroke; Alex: butterfly; Robert: freestyle) but narrowly missed out in qualifying for the final. However, the boys produced personal best times, swimming faster in both races, demonstrating that they have made excellent progress since competing in the Kent Schools’ Championship on 9 March.

Fabulous swimming gentlemen and many thanks to all the parents who supported on the day!
