We welcome into The New Beacon Family Joshua Cronje (South Africa) and William Quayle (Australia). Both have settled in well and have been initiated into the boarding house setup as well as assisting with games and PE.
William hails from Brisbane in Queensland where he attended the Anglican Church Grammar School. William is a Chelsea fan; not his fault though! He enjoys strumming the guitar and is an avid music fan and may well prove to be of much use to Mr Vincent as the Company Music Competition draws nearer. William has also worked as a babysitter during the past two years.
Joshua was brought up in George and attended the Grey High School in Port Elizabeth. Joshua was a boarder for five years so is well-versed in boarding house matters. His interests include basketball, cricket, hockey, rugby union and tennis. Joshua’s family immigrated to the UK two years ago.
Both Gap Students are looking forward to their year at The New Beacon and to meeting new people and of course, to travel in the UK and on the Continent.
Parents, should you require any of these fine young gentlemen (or both when available) to do some babysitting for you, do contact the school.
We wish them both all the very best for 2020 and sincerely hope that they will enjoy the experience of working in a Prep school and safe travels during the holidays.
