Tomorrow, we will commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE Day). Please watch this short film that Mr Vincent has kindly put together. If we turn back the clock to 75 years ago, boys at the New Beacon would be waking in the morning to a day of celebration. The war in Europe was over after nearly six years. The school stayed open throughout the whole of the Second World War. Many old boys and teachers went off to war, with 78 sadly being killed, fighting for King and country. Let us remember those 78 and all those who fought to give us the freedom we have today. Lest we forget.
