On Tuesday, Year 1 celebrated and delighted in the arrival of autumn, with various activities throughout the morning (in lieu of our annual trip to Ightham Mote).
A hedgehog den was discovered in the classroom, much to the boys’ excitement and the tables were covered in leaves and fruit. The boys worked in the den, researching hedgehog facts. Next was a ramble through the woods, looking for signs of autumn and collecting treasures to add to their journey – sticks.
A picnic lunch followed, with the boys enjoying a mug of butternut and apple soup which was made in class. Most of the boys declared it a super, super autumn soup!
The boys had a wonderful time and a big thank you to Zidan for doing the dishes!
