Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed their virtual trip to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich today. They began by finding out about the Prime Meridian. Some improvisation was needed to simulate the actual line of longitude! Then they participated in a workshop with two RO Astronomers, exploring our solar system. The boys listened intently and scored full marks on the interactive quiz! During the afternoon, they were treated to a planetarium show, visiting Mars, Neptune and Saturn. The boys were able to ask lots of fascinating questions. Somehow, they even managed to fit in making star scopes and a very special Golden Time with non-electronic games!
