Your kind and generous donations were hugely appreciated by the Sevenoaks Lockdown Larder this week. Set up at the start of April 2020, the larder already provides for just over 100 local families, all of whom are able to choose the items they most need, including selected fresh foods. All food is delivered to each family by volunteers, negating the need for those in need to have to visit the food bank.
Gordon Lee, past New Beacon parent and coordinator of the organisation said: “we spend around £750 a week on fresh meat, fish, cheese, fruit and vegetables for our clients”. With this in mind, financial donations, both cash and payments via their website, are extremely welcome.
We hope to be able to visit them each week with your donations, so thank you in advance for your continued support.
Key items for Wednesday 27 January (please deliver to the Music Block between 8 – 10am):
Tinned hot dogs, beef ravioli, microwave rice, flour, marmite
Thank you all so much.
