The Year 6 PGL trip will be taking place from Monday 5th July until Wednesday 7th July 2021, staying at PGL’s facility at Windmill Hill, Herstmonceux.  At the moment, following government guidance overnight trips will be able to go ahead. We will keep you informed should anything change.

The boys will take part in a wide range of activities which they will find fun, exciting and challenging. These activities may include the zip-wire, Jacob’s Ladder, raft building, rock climbing, abseiling and team building challenges. We like to encourage all boys to come on the trip as it is a wonderful experience and a lovely way to end the boys’ time in the Middle School.

Mr Swann will be organising the trip and will be accompanied by at least five other teachers from The New Beacon, all of whom have been to PGL many times before. These staff will be with your son for the duration of the weekend. The trip will cost £330, which will include coach transport there and back, two nights’ accommodation in six-man en-suite dorms, all meals, and all activities.

An initial payment of £230 will be added to your Spring end of term bill; the remaining amount will be due later in the Summer Term. If you do not want your son to join them on this trip, then please let Mr Swann know as soon as possible, ideally before Wednesday 24th April.

In the meantime, if you would like any more information, please go to the parents’ guide on the PGL’s website,  Please also feel free to e-mail Mr Swann if you have a specific query or concerns.
