We have arranged a class trip to Pumpkin Moon, Maidstone on Thursday, 14 October. We went there last year and can confirm that it has very high standards of safety and hygiene and we know that everything will be done to ensure the boys have an enjoyable and safe visit. Do feel free to look at their website Pumpkin Moon if you would like to know more about it.
The plan is to go pumpkin picking with the boys which links nicely to our Autumn topic and of course to Halloween.
We shall be getting there for 1.00 pm so will be leaving after lunch and therefore you will not need to provide your son with a packed lunch.
We do hope the weather will be kind to us but, in any event, the boys will wear wellies while at the farm (these should already be in school). If the weather forecast is for rain/showers, we will take a view on whether we go or not. If the forecast is for sun, please see your son has sun cream applied before he comes to school and we will take the boys’ school sun hats with us.
We plan to leave school at 12.30 pm and will return in time for the normal end of the day at 3.00 pm.
Kindly complete the permission form below by Monday 11th October. The cost of the trip will be approximately £5.00 which will cover a £2 per boy entrance fee plus the cost of their chosen pumpkin (small ones are £1, most are £2-3), depending on the size of the pumpkins they choose, and this will be added to your end of term bill.
