Year 1 had a most enjoyable trip to Ightham Mote. We were lucky enough to have perfect, sunny weather for our woodland ramble. We followed a very muddy route through Scathes Wood adding to the boys delight. They were amazing autumn detectives, noticing all the splendours that nature has to offer. The boys visited the Great Hall in the manor house. They were fascinated by the artefacts found in the Great Hall and learnt some interesting facts about Ightham Mote. We had a pleasant stroll through the apple orchard and flower garden.

The hungry boys had just enough time to enjoy a picnic lunch before Gary and James arrived in the trusty mini buses to ferry us back to school. A day filled with blue skies, fresh air and lots of fun!
