We are holding a ‘Bedtime Read’ session on Wednesday 9 February, and we hope that all the children in Reception will be able to join us.

The aim of the evening is to provide the children with an opportunity to enjoy some stories together before bedtime, whilst raising the profile of reading and promoting the enjoyment of sharing stories with each other.

The children need to arrive at 5.00pm at the main Pre Prep Central Area entrance. The dress code is pyjamas, slippers and a dressing gown and they will need to bring a favourite teddy with them to snuggle, and perhaps a torch.

Whilst the children are in the Central Area with us, there will be tea and coffee available in the Yellow Room to the side of the Central Area, for parents to wait in during the session. Please do leave your child with us and go straight there after you have arrived so we can fit in as many stories in our story time as possible. This will also give you all an opportunity to catch up with the other parents.

The children will be split into small groups and will listen to lovely stories read to them by various Pre Prep staff. Following the story sessions, we will have some quiet time for drinking hot chocolate and then we will invite you to join us in the Central Area for singing nursery rhymes and other songs. We will aim to finish by 6.15pm.  Hopefully, once you arrive home your child will be ready to brush their teeth and head to bed.

This is such a magical evening and we hope that all of you will be able to join us. Please do bring along any siblings too. Please complete this form below by Friday 2 February. Many thanks.
