Following the latest government announcement, please see below the most recent changes to testing requirements for our forthcoming trip to Iceland.
There has been no change to enter Iceland
Passengers born in 2005 or after are exempt from the obligation to present a negative test certificate upon arrival and do not need to pre-register. We will, however, expect your son to have taken a lateral flow test 24 hours prior to our departure.
As a reminder, please check your son’s passport validity.
His passport must meet 2 requirements. It must be:
- less than 10 years old on the day you enter (check the ‘date of issue’)
- valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)
Check both the issue date and the expiry date in the passport. If you renewed your passport early, extra months may have been added to its expiry date. This could affect the requirement for your passport to be less than 10 years old.
