Next Friday, 11 February we are turning pink! The whole school is invited to wear pink, as pink as they like, and bring in a minimum donation of £1! (Exceptions – no hair dye, face paint, body paint or nail varnish). This is to support Cancer Research and The Brain Tumour Charity. All boys will be given a grey wristband to wear on the day, regardless of whether or not they make a donation, this is to raise awareness of the Brain Tumour Charity, whose symbol is a grey ribbon.
On the same day there will also be a cake sale for all boys at morning break and we would love as many boys as possible to bring in a cake, again the theme is pink, but of course all contributions of any colour are very welcome. In the morning there will be a whole school assembly looking at the work of Cancer Research, the reasons we are supporting the Brain Tumour Charity and the training for the fund-raising run that Mrs Yeat-Brown and Mrs Dunlop are taking on. |
