This coming Thursday, 3 March, The Nursery, Pre-Prep and Junior School children will be celebrating World Book Day.  This year is the 25th Anniversary!  So, we want to celebrate all things reading!

From Monday 28 February we would like to encourage children to bring in their favourite books and share why they enjoy them with their classes.

On World Book Day, Thursday 3 March, the Nursery, Pre – Prep and Junior School children are invited to dress up, it could be as a character from their favourite book or they could dress up as an interesting word from a dictionary. If they prefer, they can wear just one item or simply bring a prop to represent their chosen character/word. We look forward to seeing some wonderful costumes and to have the opportunity to enjoy sharing each other’s favourite stories.

World Book day Competition – Create a Story Jar
This year, we would like the boys to think about being creative. Could they create a scene from their favourite story inside a jar? May they could use Lego, or create characters in other ways. Boys should bring their jars into school over the week commencing 28 February, and they will be judged on World Book Day, and a winner will be selected for each year group. Please can jars be clearly labelled with boys name and class.
