Year 7 visited Canterbury Cathedral and King’s Canterbury School on Friday, 22 April.  Year 7 have been learning all about the Normans and Angevins this year, including the quarrel between Henry II and Thomas Becket. We had a guided tour of the Cathedral and stood in the very spot of Becket’s murder in 1170, admired some of the medieval stained glass windows and saw the tombs of Henry IV and the Black Prince. Afterwards, Mr Henderson, the archivist from King’s, gave us a tour of St. Augustine’s and King’s were kind to offer us a fish and chips lunch in a 700 Year old refectory.
