Last week, 5A, B and C were set the task of naming the two new members of the Science department. The boys had to suggest a name for the Corn Snake and Axolotl, pictured below.

There were many brilliant names to choose from and some great reasons given. However, I am pleased to announce that the winning entries were submitted by Arlo T and Henry O.

Arlo chose to name the snake, Niblet.  Arlo picked this name because it is also the name given to a kernel of sweetcorn.

Henry has named the Axolotl, Sherman. Henry chose this because the Axolotl shares his/her tank with a large model of a Sherman tank.

Well done boys!

Mr Burton
