World Book Day this year is on Thursday, 2 March 2023 and to go with that, Nursery, Pre-Prep and the Junior School are going to be taking part in various activities throughout the day with their class.

Following on from our brilliant visit from Joshua Seigal, our theme this year will be a focus on ‘Poetry.’  Therefore, we will be holding a poetry competition throughout the week running up to the finals which will take place on World Book Day.  Please see the separate letter in this week’s Friday Report which contains more details.

We are asking boys to dress up as their favourite character from any book or poem on Thursday, 2 March. This is optional although we do encourage the children to take part. Please don’t feel the need to go to any expense. We welcome home made costumes. Get the children involved; the perfect way to keep them busy over half term!

Another possibility would be to organise costume swaps amongst other parents, as a way to encourage the boys to recycle and reuse. Please feel free to coordinate amongst yourselves.

We think the boys will enjoy the activities we have planned for Book Day and hope they become as excited about them as we are!
