The U10A rugby team have been busy lately, taking part in the Tonbridge Festival and matches against Hilden Grange and Downsend. At the Tonbridge Festival, The New Beacon played 3 group games against Bickley Park, Highfield and Aldro, winning all three, scoring 14 tries and conceding only one. Coming top of the group, we played the final against Hazelwood which proved to be a close contest, with The New Beacon eventually winning the trophy with a 2-1 victory. Well done boys.

On Wednesday, we had a game against Hilden Grange at home. The New Beacon dominated the game against a strong Hilden, who had not lost a game this season, scoring six tries without reply. The following day, we travelled away to Downsend, which is always a tough fixture and yesterday was no exception. The game was physical and end to end. After a bruising encounter we narrowly lost with the final score being 10-8 to Downsend.

With two remaining fixtures, one festival at Sutton Valence and a fixture against Solefields, we hope to back to winning ways. Well done boys on the season thus far.
