This week in English, Year 2 have been focusing on One Snowy Night by Nick Butterworth. The aim was for the boys to write a story in the style of One Snowy Night. To kick everything off, in hope of creating enthusiasm and promote the use of WOW! words, as well as use their senses, the boys went on a Winter senses walk, looking for signs of winter using all senses apart from taste! Robins were spotted and heard, frost was felt and cold air was smelt. Monday was a perfect morning for this walk, with the sky blue and the bare trees gently swaying. The boys did so well and seemed to enjoy their time out of the classroom. Now, I wonder what cheeky animals are going to knock on the door…?!
