On Tuesday, Year 2 travelled to Herstmonceux Science Observatory to learn through play everything science! A wonderful Space talk was given with some very cool demonstrations and an opportunity for some boys to volunteer and take part. In groups, they built an arch bridge, learning about the important of the keystone and how the forces work to make the arch bridge one of the best designs. The Learning Corridor was totally hands-on, which the boys absolutely loved, not wanting to leave! Even though the weather was cold and a little damp, it didn’t dampen the boys’ spirits and they thoroughly enjoyed playing in the Water Park.
Thank you to our wonderful parent helpers for accompanying us, thus allowing the trip to take place. A fantastic day out!
