On Monday 20 March, the U13A hockey team travelled to Charterhouse School to compete at the National Finals. The boys played four teams in the group stages of the tournament, winning three and drawing one: Sedbergh (2-1 win), Cheltenham College (0-0 draw), St Faiths (1-0 win) and Walhampton (1-0 win).

The boys topped their group with 10 points – an absolutely fantastic achievement! In the quarter finals, they faced Bede’s. Having played them before, the boys were well prepared and played some superb hockey. Clinical finishing from the forward line meant that they secured a 2-0 victory and were through to the semi-final.

In the semi-final the boys conceded two early goals but put in a monumental effort to bounce back, scoring early in the second half. However, the second goal didn’t come, and the match ended 2-1.
