Thursday saw Year 5 visit the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. A glorious day was had seeing and learning about numerous tanks and aircraft from all over the globe at this wonderful museum. The boys particularly enjoyed seeing some of the WWI vehicles and aircraft they’d learnt about recently in their Y5 History lessons, as well as seeing other more modern, WWII marvels, such as the iconic Spitfire and Hurricane. A particular highlight was a visit inside one of the prototype Concordes, as well as a visit to the gift shop where a wide array of souvenirs were purchased! Y5 were a credit to the school in regard to their behaviour and conduct throughout the trip, and it was an absolute pleasure taking them on what was a fantastic day out.
