Thank you to all the parents who attended the Information Evenings over the past two weeks. It was wonderful to meet with you to explain how things work in the Pre- Prep and Junior School; how we support the boys as well as our expectations of the boys for each year group. At The New Beacon we pride ourselves on our pastoral care. We feel passionately about children’s mental health and developing ‘soft skills’ such as perseverance and resilience. We know that if boys feel safe, happy and calm, we will get the best out of them. This week in assembly we reviewed our Golden Rules as well as our Lunchtime Rules. It is important to review rules often, as they bring balance, fairness, safety and order. Thank you for your continued support at home, it really is a 3-way partnership between us, you and your son(s).

Snack Reminder- NO NUTS!

A reminder that breaktime snacks and any other food/drink brought into school should not contain any nuts. We have had 2 near miss incidents in the last week where boys brought in a snack containing nuts and were eating them next to a boy with a nut allergy.
