Year 1 visit to Brighton Toy & Model Museum
Year 1 visited the quaint Brighton Toy and Model Museum set in a rather unusual and interesting location under the Brighton train station. The museum was filled from floor to ceiling with many so toys that the boys didn’t know where to look first. During the two workshops given, the boys learnt about the differences between the toys they play with now, compared to the toys from the past.
Wearing white gloves, the boys were given the opportunity to handle some of the most precious items and placed them on a timeline.
They also enjoyed looking at the many and varied display cabinets, exhibiting interesting and delightful toys, teddy bears, puppets and models. It was a most rewarding and successful school trip.
Art and Crafts club enjoyed making windmill poppies this week, they were quite tricky but the boys concentrated so well and we’re delighted with their fantastic finished poppies!
