We celebrated World Book Day throughout the school, on Thursday, 7 March. The lower years dressed up, decorated Dream Jars from The BFG and ate a Roald Dahl inspired lunch. The upper years played ‘Risk it for a Biscuit’, attempting ‘to talk for 30 seconds, without repetition, hesitation or deviation’.  Everyone searched for letters hidden around the school, that would reveal authors’ names. The Pre-prep and Junior School were successful in their letter hunts, but at the time of writing, the Middle and Senior School were still searching for the remaining letters of their name!

Most of all, we celebrated books and reading. Among many reading events there were older boys reading with their younger counterparts, silent reading to start the day, readings from the English department in the Senior School, and story time in the Nursery.

The winners of the Dream Jar Competition were Ted J (Middle School) and Charlie G (Pre-Prep).
