What a wonderful week we have had this week. Both Nursery and Reception have been learning about the beach and seaside and seaside creatures and the discussions and work produced has been really outstanding. The week concluded with our Early Years Sports Day, and what a triumph that was too! Everyone joined in as best they could, and it really did go smoothly, and everyone was so well-behaved! Thank you for coming along and joining in with our Sports activities.

We now look ahead to next week and our Celebration Day on Friday! Please ensure you are at the Sports Hall promptly (by 10:35am) for the Nursery/PP/JS Concert, which will be Dr. Maslin’s final concert as Director of Music. Please read below for further important details.

Class lists for Reception and above will be sent home next Friday, ready for ‘Move up Monday’ on 8 July. Miss Elliott will also be in attendance for this event to meet the Nursery children. A reminder that term finishes on Wednesday, 10 July at 12pm for Nursery and Reception. There will be no afterschool care provision on this day, as the teachers will have an INSET afternoon.

I wish you all a restful weekend, and look forward to seeing you all on Monday.

Mrs Marie Taylor

On Friday 5 July all boys in Nursery to Y4 are expected to be in school at the normal time and head to their classrooms. All parents are then invited to join our Nursery/Pre-Prep/Junior School concert in The New Beacon Centre at 10:35am, the concert will last approximately 25 minutes.

After the concert, teachers will take the boys back to their classrooms. Parents are then invited to tour around the school for our Celebration Day, which is effectively an Open Day for current parents. We encourage you to take your son along as your ‘tour guide’ if they are not involved in any activities, and please do wander around the Middle and Senior School events to see all the exciting things that await your son on his New Beacon journey.

The school day will end at 1pm, although the children can leave with you at any time after the concert, and before lunch, however care will be in place for any boys who can’t be collected at 1pm. When leaving school, please sign your son(s) out with their teacher before taking them home. Alternatively, please let us know if you would like your son to go home with someone else.

For any boys staying from 1pm for the afternoon, lunch will be provided, and boys can be collected at their usual collection times. There will be no clubs, however Early Years Activity Club will run as normal.

Please complete the Celebration Day form on the new app to inform us of your arrangements on the day. If you will require your son to attend any of the after-school club provisions please email Mrs Harding.
