At The New Beacon we are fortunate to have a beautiful chapel in the grounds, dedicated by the Bishop of Rochester in 1912. There are weekly services in the chapel, led by the Lay Chaplain Andrew Snowdon and assisted by boys, staff and parents.

The end-of-week service on a Friday evening is very much a family event for those associated with the school. Regular weekly services are led by the Chapel Choir which consists of twenty-four choristers from Years 7 and 8.

Major festivals such as Christmas, Easter, Harvest Festival and Remembrance are also celebrated, with the main Christmas service moving to Tonbridge School chapel to cope with the many hundreds who attend. Each Friday a different charity benefits from the collection made during the service.

There is an Explorers Club for boys in Years 5-8 which meets four times per term to explore faith in more depth in a fun way.

The Parent and Staff Prayer Group meets informally twice per term and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.

The Lay Chaplain is always happy to meet with boys, staff or parents should he be needed.
