Although the New Beacon has a Board of Governors which monitors closely the way the school is run and ensures that standards are maintained across the board and that a healthy financial status is maintained, we are subject to external scrutiny in a variety of ways.

An ISI Inspection (Independent Schools Inspectorate) looks at the educational and welfare provision of a school, including boarding and Early Years Foundation Stage provision where applicable, and compliance with regulations is checked. These inspections are carried out every six years; boarding provision and registered EYFS settings must be inspected every three years.

Ofsted may also call for an inspection of the same areas.

Previous inspection reports may be requested from the school office.
