John Norman Football Tournament

Saturday saw nine visiting schools come together with two teams from The New Beacon for the annual John Norman Football Cup. Teams competing were Sevenoaks Prep, Holmewood House, King’s Rochester, Hawthorns, Solefields, Hazelwood, St Michael’s, St Ronan’s and Somerhill.

The standard of football was extremely high and the tournament was played with great sportsmanship and determination from the opening match to the two finals, after three hours of strong competition.

Congratulations go to King’s Rochester who overcame Hawthorns in the Cup final and a special mention to The New Beacon B team, who were triumphant in the Shield final.

An excellent morning’s football was enjoyed by all.
