U11 A Team Qualifies for National Finals!
Congratulations to The New Beacon under 11 A team who have qualified for the national finals at Saint George’s Park next May.
Drawn in a tough group alongside Bedes, Royal Russell and Ashford, the boys made a flying start with a superb 7-0 win over Bedes. They followed this up with another excellent display, narrowly losing 1-0 to Royal Russell despite dominating all of the game. In the final group match, a composed 4-1 victory secured their place in the knockout stages against Ashford. The quarter final saw them overcome hosts Ardingly, before a superb semi-final performance earned a comfortable win over Somerhill.
In the final against Farrington’s the boys were understandably tired, but qualification had already been secured after a fantastic day of football.
Well done to the whole squad on a brilliant achievement and an exciting road ahead to Saint Georges Park!
