The exposure to a wide variety of activities and skills beyond the formal classroom not only broadens the experience of an individual, but it also helps to ensure a rounded education which enhances personal confidence levels.

Whether it be the adrenaline rush of performing on stage, the joy of making music in a group, scoring a goal on the sports field, exposure to culture via an art gallery visit or learning a new opening gambit on the chess board, opportunities abound at The New Beacon.

These opportunities may be incorporated within the school day, but many take place after the regular school day has ended. Foreign excursions are very much part of The New Beacon year and these may be of a sporting, musical or educational bias.
