This includes a pre-school day Breakfast Club from 7.30am and extended hours for the After School Club, which will run until 6.30pm.

The extended care programme is run by Mrs Beresford, Mrs Griffiths and Mrs Connelly, who try their best to meet the needs of every individual child and they work to form strong relationships with you as parents, giving feedback and regular communication. They are all qualified to a minimum NVQ level 3 or above in childcare and are first aid trained. They have a genuine interest in your child’s development, and help to engage them in activities and to have fun, while promoting a healthy diet.

Breakfast Club (7.30am to 8.15am)

The Breakfast Club is open to all pupils from Reception to Year 8 of The New Beacon from 7.30am every day. A continental breakfast is served and the boys are able to enjoy some quiet time reading or playing cards/puzzles before the buzz of the school day begins. The cost for this is £5.50.

Breakfast club is held in the After School club room in the pre-prep building where children have access to toys, activities and a tasty breakfast.  Should you wish to book this, please submit a booking using the form in the Wraparound Care section on the school website.

Middle and Senior School early arrivals (8.00am onwards)

Any early arrivals (8.00am onwards) are supervised on a daily basis in the School Room. Thereafter, boys are released to prepare for their day prior to morning registration.

Brothers’ Club  (3.15pm – 4.30pm)

The Brothers’ Club is for younger boys in the Pre-Prep and Junior School with older brothers further up the school. It is a complimentary holding facility which operates until the older brothers have finished their day.

After School Club (3.15pm – 6.30pm)

This is open to all pupils from Reception to Year 8 until 6.30pm and to Nursery children until 5pm.  The club is split into two 90 minute sessions: 3.30pm to 5.00pm and 5.00pm to 6.30pm. The cost is £8.50 per 90 minute session, this includes a snack in the first session and light hot supper in the second session.

It provides a fun, happy and safe place for children to play freely with their friends and take part in wide ranging activities.

Middle & Senior School Prep (4.00pm – 5.20pm)

This takes place in the ICT Suite in The New Beacon Centre from the end of the school day until 5.20pm, Monday to Friday inclusive.
